Foreign nationals can enter or stay in the UK if they are married to an eligible "sponsor" and hold a marriage visa uk. Your sponsor must be a British national or have settled status in the country, meaning they are residing there legally and without a visa.
You must receive entrance clearance before travelling to the UK in order to be eligible.
If applying from within the UK, marriage visas are initially issued for 30 months; if applying from outside the UK, they are initially given for 33 months. To extend the visa for an additional 30 months, you will need to submit a new application.
